Aesthetics Certification Course

The Aesthetics Certification Course offered here at ASI provides students with the complete knowledge, understanding and practical experience necessary to pass the New York State Board Exam and go forth as a New York State licensed aesthetics professional.

After fulfilling the course requirements listed below, licensed aestheticians are then eligible to tackle one or more of our Advanced Aesthetics Courses to further their careers.

Orientation – 4 hours
Safety and Health – 8 hours
Bacteriology 18 hours
Anatomy, Physiology and Nutrition – 30 hours
Structure and Function of the Skin – 25 hours
Superfluous Hair – 24 Hours
Chemistry – 7 hours
Chemistry as applied to Cosmetics – 21 hours
Electricity and Machines – 25 hours
Facial and Body Procedures – 295 hours
Make-Up Techniques – 84 hours
Business Practices – 30 hours
Job Skills – 11 hours
Introduction to Paramedical Aesthetics – 18 hours
